overheating coil wire mk1 capri

Has anyone experienced a really hot wire that goes to the coil. Its the one that runs between the ignition switch and the coil. The wire is hot around the dash area and around the tachometre pulse clip on the back of the instruments. Not stinking hot just very very warm and the insulation goes soft...

WTB: Mk2 Escort brake upgrade parts

Looking for a front brake replacement upgrade for 2.0 Escort.Currently has std M16 type rotors, with vented disks, and 13" x 6 rims. Maybe someone has upgraded to 15" and has surplus kit. thanks..

Capri Windscreen Locking Strip Plastichrome Size

What is the correct width of the plastichrome locking strip around the windscreen. There are at least two sizes out there - 7/16"and 1/2" Thanks in advance...

Low back seats

Hi there, I have a set of black vinyl low back front seats with basket weave insert for my 1970 V6 being re-trimmed at the moment. Has anyone got a set of original seats that they wouldn't mind posting some photos of, just to try to get them as original as possible?? Thanks! Mark..

V6 Battery tray.

Looking at my battery trays today which on one is missing and two others are rusty contemplating what to do. Buy them overseas or try to fix one of them. Then I thought of battery tray liner. Made of plastic or fibreglass that would sit inside like a paint tray liner and protect the surroundings. Wo..
