Anyone able to de-code a ford part?

I have a nice NOS auto shifter surround, cast into it is the following Ford part number 72BA.394.AC Any clues as to its ID for model application etc??..

Radius rods.

Im having trouble puttig the bolt in the radius rod. Ive tried it with the diff at all heights but whatever I do it still seems to be about half a bolt width out. Ford used to have a special tool that would pull the rod to the bracket on the diff so the bolt would go in. Im just wondering how folks ..

Handbrake cable.

My handbrake cable seems to have stretched a bit. If I use one of those clamps that effectively shorten it will this pass a roadworthy?..

dummy side vents

Hi All, can anyone confirm that the 72 Capri came out with the pressed metal dummy vents or the cast iron ones ? I always assumed it was the solid ones but was told this morning that the pressed ones would be correct for my car. regards Paul..
