Mk2 Escort Steering rack lube

About to reassemble my rack and asking what lubricant is used. I'm assuming oil is specified by the OEM but I'm hearing grease is also used. What's the recommended practice and what grades of lubricant?..

Nolathane crush tubes too short?

So I ordered some new bushes through Mike at Yesterford and I received Nolathane front & rear eye & shackle, and Superpro saddle bushes. The Rear eye has no crush tube. Superpro kit appears to have crush tubes when looking at the kits on ebay.Can anyone confirm? Front eye is the biggest issu..

Hi All. What's the go with the saddle plates which go between the top spring bush and axle (on the extreme left and right below). I can't recall removing them from my original springs so are they needed? Regardless has anyone got a spare pair they don't need to suit Mk2?..
