Removing a type 9 in car!

Hi All5 speed sierra box noisy in my mk1, (x-flow, standard tunnel) tried to take it out tonight, bloody hell what a mission! Im thinking remove engine mounts in the morn to drop whole lot down to get box out. Has anyone else got a better idea to this mission.Clever me put the engine and box in toge..
