diff seal

about to do the seal on the diff, pinion. Got the seal with me will I need to get a new nut locking nut for it? its been a long long time since i've seen the escort diff don't want to pull out and then need one...

Tailshaft centre mount??

Hi All Just bought a granny spec mk1, and the only thing wrong is the mount in the centre of the tailshaft appears to be knocking. Can you buy these items??..

Speedometer is not working

Tailshaft bush/bearing

hi all has anyone had to replace the bronze bush/bearing in the rear of the extension housing of a standard aussie Mk2 RS2000 box. mine is either that flogged out or non existant as i can move the tailshaft from side to side enough to deform the seal. chers caleb..

Celica to Zetec

Hi, Has anyone fitted a Celica Steel W50 box to a Zetec or Kent? I am looking for a hands on person who has done the work himself modifying bits to fit, not using the likes of aDellow conversion. My thought run along the lines of an Aluminium sandwich plater betwwen the Celica box and a MK2 Cortina..

no 4th! help!

well i did something with the escort (that i would rather not say publically) and afterwards i have no 4th, i still have 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and they are still easy to put in and take out of gear, nothign weird, except when u go to put it into 4th it just doesnt let you put it into gear, it physica..

Pinto clutch same 4sp/ 5sd?

Hi guys sold my mk1 to a young lad he's burnt the clutch out, but eventually wants to put a 5 speed in it. Is the clutch the same from 4sp to 5spd as he doesnt want to pay for it then have to replace it in a few months when he does 5spd conversion. Its got a 2l pinto in it. Thanks for any help..

Clutch Splines Diffrence

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if the gearbox input shaft (spline) on a MK2 cortina 1600 gearbox is the same as a spline on a Escort MK2 2L Gearbox? A friend has a 1600 cortina box that is stuffed and if the spline is the same I want to cut the shaft off it to keep as a clutch align..
