Single rail gear lever disgram

Does anyone have a diagram of a single rail gearbox showing gearstick and all parts in between? Need to reco one and finding it hard to get any information / images on the breakdown so i can pull it apart? even a scan from a gregory's or some sort of a manual would be a big help. English axle diff rebuild, diff bearing pre-load.

I am rebuilding an english axle . The Ford manual talks about a spread on the bearing caps, i.e. a pre-load on the diff bearings. As this info is 30+ years old and seems to rely on the bearing caps moving apart, is there any other measurement that can be used to get the correct pre-load on the diff ..

Mk2 Escort Auto to manual conversion

Hi all I want to convert my 76 1300 escort from auto to type 9 manual, does anyone know if this is true? 1 the Auto prop fits the type 9? 2 the auto crossmember fits the type 9? Thanks Mike..

Celica 5 Speed Gearbox Into Mk2 Escort

I have a question specific to a Celica (W50) Steel Case 5 Speed gearbox with Dellow housing to suit the Escort... There are 4 different shifter locations on the W50 Celica box (18", 19" 20.5" & 21"). Does anyone know which one(s) will align with the existing shifter hole in Mk2 Escort transmissi..

Z32 g/box to sr20det

Okies i have read pages and pages on many forums and many people have different opinions BUT all agree on 1 thing put some decent power out of an SR20DET and you will break the g/box so rather than doing things twice i've purchased a z32 g/box. Question is probley better put on the nissan/silvia/dr..

CANT FIND REVERSE!!!!!

I have just gone for my first drive in since installing a type 9 but i can find reverse :( :( No matter how hard i push ( well theres not downward motion at all)i just cant find it has any one got any tips?????..

im in the process of building turbo zetec(about to start) and im going to try and get 300-350hp out of it but what gearbox will suit my application best, 76 mk2 was orginally auto..
