Has anyone put a 2JZ-GE into a escort???

I was thinking has anyone put a 2JZ-GE in a escort and would it be legal as it is a 2997cc 3.0ltr and it produces 220hp stock. Cheers Stewart..

Toyota 18R GU

Has anybody installed the old cast iron 18R gu 2 litre twin cam into an Escort? A period engine without the pollution gear and 130 to 140 bhp in standard tune, is it a viable proposition. I know that there are lighter more modern engines, but the 18R GU is available at the right price. Cheers, ..
