fixing bent struts

hi all, can you fix bent struts? i have 2.8 capri struts in my rally car and bent one right above the stub axle at my last event.. not heaps but enough that it has broken the paint around the strut. i was thinking of stripping the strut and heating up the tube with a oxy and bent it back straight..

Steel steering couplings

Looking to replace the old rubber steering coupling in my Mk2 Escort. Have heard that there are two different lengths available. My question is....how do I know which one I need? Does it depend on steering shaft length or pinion length and does anyone know the measurements? Regards, Craig...

binding springs

Put some new 2" lowered spring, in the front today now when you turn the steering. There is a horrible clunk, and the spring pulls the wheel back to center.Any ideas Regards james..

is there a diffeerence between 1.6 and 2lt struts?

i pulled the struts out the burnt out 2lt i have. i had the ventelated brake upgrade on them and was thinking of just putting them into my other escort. is there a difference between the struts from 1.6 and 2lt Escorts. if so how can i tell. it might just be eiser if i can swap the brake discs an..
