Replacing U Bolts

Hi Guys, I have some new rear springs coming and I want to know if the old u bolts are ok to reuse or should I get some new ones? The old ones are in OK condition. If so, where is the best place to get them from? Cheers Matt..

Lovell's V's King Springs

Hi Everyone. Has anyone gone the way (on 2lt Escort struts) of using Lovells lowered springs? On the catalogue their lowest version (FFL-13SL) is 45-65mm lower, and the King Springs Low version (KFFL-13) are 25-35mm lower? I'm not sure about that. Early Mk1 rear suspension options

Seasons greetings :) I'm looking for some advice to upgrade my rear suspension for fast road use. The car gets a bit of axle tramp and the rear end feels like it's swinging out when cornering at speed. Car is 1970 MK1 with the 45deg shocks. Thanks..

Tram-Lining Mk2

What would the main cause of tram-lining in a Mk2 Escort be? I went out with a few forum members yesterday and my Escort was tram-lining quite heavily at times when in the 80 and 100km/h zones. I've read high performance tires can be a big influence but other than that can it be toe/camber settings?..

Convert early Mk1 rear shocks to later Mk2 style

Hey all, I've got an early Mk1 Escort with the 45 degree rear shocks and was thinking of cutting out the rear shock mounting panel from a Mk2 Escort and fitting it to my car and running the later more upright Mk2 shock. Has anyone done this conversion, or have any advice or opinions? Thanks...

Rear Leaf bushes - recommendations
