I am still working on new drumbrakes, but what a hassle to get them little annoying springs on.
Some pictures. I build a lot of parts myself, like adjustable panhard rod, dashboard, stainles steel exhaust sytem
and then some.

More later

Should've said 10yrs back, I had 2x of them, a beige 78 1100 I found in a country wrecker and a front smash one in brown 1982 , 1100 or 1300 , both got sold for 1000$ to qld and he just let them rot in the paddock . Realised later I should have kept the beige complete one and rear wheel drive it with zetec

I can tell you, even here in our region western Europe, finding one mk2 is not easy. And parts for it as well.

Shaun, they are wanted. I would likely had an mk1 back in the days, but they were thin on the ground already, talking 20 years ago. So this is the mk2, having become rare as well. I was imagening having a BDA running in it. Many years ago i could have bought one 1700 cc 225 HP drysumped for only 7700 GLD that is old Dutch "Gulden" would be 8000 $. But, it took so long for that old enginebuilder to get new valves made from raw, ( i wish i had waited ) Then i found another option and had me a big bad 2900CC roller cammed 4 cylinder from Esslinger California. Wich i still have. But not for front wheel drive 😅
