good job in getting to the show.
I saw an Angry Anglia YT this morning, it looked like they had a great turnout of cars.
Definately a stinking hot weekend though.

I just looked at the video, it's funny because when they were driving down the freeway I snuck in behind them and followed along for most of the way to the show  the GTI identified as an Anglia for 20 minutes!

Thanks however none of them are mk2 wagons and a divorce would cost me more than any car I might bring home, let alone several..... 🤣

I do like the look of the chrome roof rack.ive been towing with the idea of fitting one to mine.

Think I'll go a drip rail mounted one though. Don't like the idea of drilling into the roof.

I've got just the thing for you.. I bought a orange (yes another one) escort MK2 which came from a 1986 parked paddock that's got period gutter mount roof racks. The rails are full rusty but I think the mounts are saveable . If you want them I'll remove them and you just pay postage ?? Rails are just inch round tube found at a steel yard or Bunnings...

Sorry for the delay Marty.

It as been a busy start to the year with other life and work taking prioroties over shed acivities...

Appreciate the offer however im after more of a full roof rack rather than just the bars.

That 2door looks very similar to the 2 door (2.0) i have tucked away in the corner of the shed.

Anyway, updates,

Still havent touched the Wagon since the car show. in the process of cleaning up the shed (and house) as we are looking to move.  As such,  Ive been trying to downsize the 25+ years of parts ive accumulated and make sure that all the cars are in a driving state.  I semi rebuilt the engine in the motorkhana car. Honed, bearings, gaskets, rings, ported heads, 1.9 roller rockers, uprated springs, new clutch. Steems to run well, still currently NA and on standard ecu however will upgrade to turbo/haltech later down the line. ( I have these already from a previous car) Aim is to have it all back and running for mid year as my daughter turns 12 and whats to do motorkhana.

Finally got around to registering the car trailer after some initial dramas.  Purchased an electric winch (it has non) and in the process of converting to beaver tail and electric drums.  Havent decided on tyre rack yet.

Anyway, will be back on track soon and hopefully posting more regularly.

I'm still booked i nfor the Cortina Nationals at Bathurst in Octob and the plan is to drive the wagon there.

Now to catch up on some other posts,

Shaun

All good on the roof racks 👍

Only 25yrs of hoarding, your a baby lol.. I'm a seasoned hoarder with over 35yrs of stash!!
I remember my last house move 10yrs ago , domestic goods like bed, cupboards, couch etc etc 2 days move.. Shed stuff , machinery and 11 cars took nearly 3 weeks, I fear having to move again and contemplating doing a downsize of inventory. We're planning to move to the country in under 10yrs, retire time but I'll keep my cars unless a massive offer comes along ...

I'm not shifting, thats it we are here till stumps if I get my way.

The house is 2 storey, so if our hips give out, we'll just live in the bottom section.
October will come around quick Shaun!

It sure will, and im away for 2 months of that time.

I do have a backup though, as I have added and electrci winch and beaver tail to the newly aquired trailer.

The plan is to drive it though, as theres nothing better than a road trip in an untested, potentially unreliable, ratty old small ford.

First job back.

Combining 3 unacceptable bonnets into half decent one.
