Yep I think I will go into tinkercad for a bit of early learning. Seems fairly intuitive once you learn some hot key commands like align, rotate, etc
Time poor atm so will just do bits of design when I can. Worry about printing at a later date.

Marty, do you go into things like fusion 360 public models to see what others have designed and put out there for others to use?

I think TC has had a recent upgrade, I turned it on this rvo and the grouping icons have coloured and a new one has popped up.
That tuning fork shaped thing takes you to another page where it's more like Fusion, where your can draw lines etc and bend the lines as you need, I used this for the indicator housings.
You'll get the hang of it pretty quick, of I'm modding a item, I double it out triple it before I start cutting and altering, yes you can reverse what's done but I have just deleted and gone with the spare to restart with. It's also handy to double it if you want to lengthen or widen by cutting the top off one and bottom off the other then join (union) together.

Thinkyverse and printables are my first point of search then I do a general search , I think printables is where I got the bulb holder file from and then integrated it to my indicator housing with TC. I have added to thinkyverse with a couple of things or modified someone else's. I did modify a solder wire holder to spool better and added a magnet slot so it can be stuck close to the wiring job, if it's a metal car etc.

Thanks for the heads up, sounds like Tinkercad might have grown up a little, which is great.

There was a point where you just couldn't quite do what you needed, and would have to look elsewhere.

Tinkercad is for kiddies so I figured it would suit my limited intellect in IT.

On another note. Finally got the Escort back from the tuners (2 1/2 Months). Engine out time to sort out this oil leak (I suspect the winged sump) and actually mount the intercooler at the front where I was avoiding all along. Charge temp at safe levels only allowed for 140kw (atrw). I think I might have drink!

Nice work MarkA, but what is kilowatts ? I'm a bhp and hate trying to convert it with power train losses.
I'll guess it's about 230bhp arw, not to shabby at all. Very drink time!
I had a 2x 40mm Weber'd pinno 2.2L that pulled a healthy 117kw on the first run, a bit up the rev range tho at 8900rpm , I still have the bottom end in my MK2 but the head was sold to John Beasley (Beasley hot water owner/later bought out by Rinnai) for his rally car, he fitted 48s and got 126kw at about 8500rpm.
Get the innercooler out front and add dry ice, you'd be pushing near on 200kw 😜

Yeah something like that in the old language.
The RS has the 4wd Cossie (200 block) and pushes out 310hp atrw on 1bar (yes thats 15 psi Marty!)
Funnily enough there is more room for the intercooler behind the nosecone than in a flat front. I guess my experiment failed, but hey I tried.

I use to pour over the Dave Vizard book and played with porting a few heads with probably not much success. Though when in your teens into your 20's and skint, it was all fun.

Yes yes lol, we live in 15psi so you're doubling the atmosphere in the engine! My bog stock courier 2.6 ran about 17 boost at times, using a Chinese turbo, nearly killed it!

Experiment? Not using a RS front cavity for intercooler placement, plenty of unused real-estate in that gap ! I wanna hear you get 25psi or more from that cossie 😜

Visard, he's still building engines in USA at age 82 ! I watch some of his vids occasionally if it relates to what I need to know or learn and I've learnt loads from his vids. It actually helps to speed the video to 1.25 speed.
I've never read the Pinto tuning book tho, funny that !!
