Anyhoo , work on the ute is still dragging it's heals, had dramas with stupid things like the oil sender adapter location... It's under the intake just above the starter motor and yes I needed to remove both.
The past 5 rvo's I've been undoing the front diff to access the sump to be removed so I can weld a bung for the oil return, I noticed the previous engine builder just used silicone with no gasket which seemed to work fine.

Haha, rc car, it's about Escort size just a load lower and lighter . Your little Landy 110 rock creeper looks cool and fun, just be careful those lipo batteries, never run them totally flat and when resting/storage them about 50% or above so they don't swell and explode. I been flying drones a lot of years and the batteries do suffer if not cared for.

The Westfield copy kit car has a Toyota 4age 20v 1600 and Celica box, a T18 Corolla diff , I noticed it's got ally front hubs so they might be Capri stubs but with Toyota stud pattern. A majority of the car is there and a box with ecu, exhaust etc. I've gotta source lights, seats, windscreen, dash clocks, fuel tank, alloy paneling etc .
I think the only other ford part is a watts linkage keeping the diff located !!
It is engineered with a chassis number so it's fully roadable once tested

It even comes with a luggage rack on the back

I like the way the roll over protection is enclosed.

Just a quick one, I was out of luck with my spanners , it's always the size your missing which you need in a hurry. The size on hyd fitting an10 is about 26mm/ 1" 1/16th, I only had a socket and wasn't going to sacrifice just for a little job . Enter a short length of strap , bent a square C shape to the correct size and made a handle shaped handle, a couple of offcuts for bracing then welded it all up, very agricultural but effective !!

I could be waving the welder at the mk1 very soon, maybe tomorrow since I'm waiting for parts for the ute I'll move to the mk1 while we are in lock-in mode !

Marty, I'd be whacking a patent application on that quick smart
Hate to think what Aeroflow would charge for the 'correct' tool

A lot, all my  fuel system fittings are Aeroflow so being a bit flush with cash at the time I bought one, very precisely machined and fitted alloy jobbie which cost me about $50.  My brothers race cars also have these so wasn't a bad investment, certainly don't get scratches or gouges in the finish which helps when the car is on show.
