Bought 2x rolls of cupronickel brake pipe as it saves freight from UK, which is legal for road use in Australia.. Not to confuse it with copper pipe which is not legal .

When fitting the seats I needed to remove the seat stands from the cars floor, the way I have strengthened the floor is weld a 2.5mm plate to the underside of the floor to reduce flex and fracture of the floorpan , this is inside

And this is underneath

By the way I bought a set of wheels but unsure which car that will attach too, weighing only 7kg each and made from some super hard aircraft alloy, they are quite special

At the moment they are coffee table art in the lounge !

For some reason this post got deleted so I'll redo it.

I made a panhard body bracket very similar to the works version, reason is theirs doesn't fit along the chassis as fine readers may have noticed so I made modifications to they're model so it actually fits as it should, anyways here's the end piece

The tube was shortened so it doesn't poke thru the boot floor and because of this I needed to brace it inside the frame

Here it is checked into place ready for plug welding

Finally welded into position and coated

Next I'll be making a larger diff tunnel for fun, then I hope I can get the underside stone chip coated ready for paint color. After that is the roof skin sunroof install s which I'm not eager to be doing but if I don't try I'll never know

Hi Robbie
They are XXR wheels , design name is 537.
15 x 8 , 20p. Total cost was about $780 Inc the $76 (£43) postage for the set.
XXR wheels will be doing another batch soon apparently, they are also in 16x 8 , silver, gunmetal, satin black, flat black etc

maybe we can convince them to do some soon in 4x108.
15x7 or 8 with deep offset would be great.

Had some real humid hot days this week so only visited the shed once all week and the pool twice. Gave the rear part of the floor a good scrub to remove any loose debris

After that I got the CAD out and made this pattern for the new enlarged diff tunnel, I will be doing a 15mm flange for added strength and welding purposes , I think 1.1mm should be up to the job

I finally got the nuts n bolts for the chairs to be installed so that's a priority
More updates over the weekend

Ok, so here's the panel I made from the CAD pattern, gotta say it wasn't a drop in fit. The folds are similar to square to round which is good for radius curves , a bit of guesswork and some flexing it went on fine..

Once satisfied where it will sit, I marked out it's outline and then about 20mm inside just in case something needs adjustments.

Looking underneath I hammered the floor to meet the new tunnel and stitch welded it on

And this is it all plug welded, I turned up the heat on the welded so the metal would melt together

After that was done I got the seats bolted and welded nuts to the floor. The drivers seat is electric so I used a battery charger to power it up to move back and forward, a bit annoying but hey, luxury at a minor cost. I'm still planning the rear seats install as are just too wide and the inner wheel house is in the way... I'll work a plan to make it an easy mod without butchering them to much..
