neat job as we've come to expect.
Even with making from 3 panels, there looks to be some interesting challenges with the shapes needed.
Plus the seat rails remained as is.
I reckon you've got enough space for whatever gearbox you want to fit now.
Pretty strong subframe/firewall gussets there too.

There''s not too much left to go now..

I was going to say wus, but thats nearly off the chart.
We have your weather today, too hot for the boat, or Torquay, or the shed for sure.
A good day for ordering more bits Marty.

Yes, a tad warm, most annoying is it's holiday time and the heat stops so many plans starting out or completing that have been waiting all year to get happening.

Side note Deano, those rims I bought from UK should be here in a week or so, can't believe freight was only £43 for the set from England !!!

I think the heat will back off after tomorrow here so I'll be back into the shed or what I can get did about the house before going back to the 7 to 4 grind !

Some things in my watch list are ::
Quickrack kit, or a s/h Q rack
Alloy rack mounts
LSD unit Escort 22 spline
Vh44 remote brake booster (maybe), or go the Datsun 120y arrangement.
Braided lines.
Bigger brakes
Anti dive kit
A couple of 6sp gearboxes, I'm doing research on strength and ratios etc

Ahhh so the weather here has cooled down to a workable temp this week, yet 'er in doors ' has bribed me to tile the porch area, about 10sq metres worth. I'm trying to wig my way out of it for now , enough of domestic duties lol.

Here's what I got up to in the shed one morning just stuffing about... Start with 1 handbrake lever and drill the pivot pin out, this releases the button, spring and rod to fall out, bend the rod a little and twist the end hook to 90deg while making it so still fit thru the handle. With the rod bent downwards slightly work out where to drill a 3mm hole near the ratchet finger , doing this will reverse the button action from releasing the ratchet finger to locking it on, what I've now created is called a fly off handbrake, great for ripping hairpin turns or doing those E- brake drifts etc , yet it still works as normal except the button needs pressing to lock the brakes on in parking .
The pivot I used is a rivnut that's been staked to stay put. There's a kit for sale in UK that does this for about $100, this was free and used all original parts

As I said in an earlier post, I had bought some furniture for the coup..
The headrests are removed for transport

Rears

And here's the test fit in the car after removing the Escort floor mountings..

They are from a Hyundai Veloster turbo, full leather, drivers side seat is full electric adjustable and both have flip forward levers. The rears are 2x seater with cup holders(? Why) in the middle, rears are 60/40 split fold do can access into the boot.. the width is just about right but the wheel well needs minor work. I will make them as flip fold using the seats anchor points and strikers, not sure about the rest shelf yet but that's too be modded as needed..

Thats a cool mod, but  will you extend the handbrake lever  as well, full drift/Hoonigan style?
The headrests look a tad uncomfortable in that position though.

Is there anything you need bodywise from one of the Hyundai wrecks that would enable the split fold latching mechanism to fully function? Classif Ford had a Mk1 Capri fitted with a split fold from an Audi TT from memory, complete with electric windows and sat nav screen/ICE. Rear seats looked average though.

You need to turbo this now, to match the seats of course.

Robbie
if your seats say turbo then you must have a turbo

Deano, the things I'll need or will make sure the lower pivot bars and the top had like a door striker pin. What I'll do is get ideas from my Focus ST back seat setup..
