The roof topcoat got a rub back too, and 2 more coats of undercoat to get rid of the grey primer that haad been still visible.

These body lines looked ok till they were primed again, and you can see theres more work needed..

And still not right at the back edge either:

Bit its getting closer, slowly. I now have some more parts, the sill strips and seat material has come in also.

I remember the first set of arches I fitted nearly 30yrs ago and had the same problem, and being fglass i could grind the line back and get it straight. Nice to see your getting it very close to paint and hopefully at your Ford show next year !!

more pictures of the roof, sorry.
Well, this nearly did not happen, but the roof is now painted. No more coats.
Of the various tins I had left of 2 pack white, most where unsalvageable or gone off, so I only had around 175mls left when mixed.
Use it? throw it? use it for another base coat?Bugger it, I painted it out, knowing it would probably run out 3/4 the way through.
With some extra thinners, it started at the back pretty rough, but as I got closer to thinking it might be enough, well i got a little more  careful.
In the end, job done, there was enough and the extra thinning made it flow really well.
There's a few more runs than usual, and some dust, but it will come out ok hopefully when it gets wetrubbed and polished down the track.

No more ghost shadow:

just as well too, as now it will have to be wet rubbing.

So far, everything has been dry sanded and I found the epoxy dulls the paper quickly.
The best strips have been SiaSpeed, which have been in 120 and 240 grit still, anything finer to begin with and you may as well have been rubbing it with used teabags.

Looking good Deano.
Did you get that Acuspark sorted? Looking at one for myself and wondering how much fiddling it'll need or whether to just stick with old fashioned points.

hey Drew, yes the Accuspark was sorted.
In the end, I needed to replace it, I think somehow the polarity was rigged opposite when it was being trouble shooted.
A new unit fixed it instantly.
I havent started it for a few months now, as i'm waiting to be able to run it for a good 15 mins to run the cam in, but it had been firing up within 1-2 cranks.
I'm happy with the unit, just make sure the coil has the correct polarity to match.
