I think out of the yellows Pine 'n' Lime would be my pick. The Lemon Lime I have on my RS seems a little dull in comparison and yellow is best to be bright in my opinion.

I do like the yellow on the Swifts...

Wheel wise either Black or silver suits. I painted the inserts on my RS alloys yellow when I had them and it didn't look too bad. There was a company many years ago doing RS style alloys in 15" wish I'd got a set when I had the chance.

Sorry about the quality its a photo of an old print photo, but should give you an idea.

Im very polar on yellow cars, i love them but dont think i could own one. But they work so well with simple colours like black, carbon etc.

Citrine yellow...... Everything in UK was that color once the mondeo was released in that shade of bright. Green on the mustang looks cool. Lemon Lime was the color of my van. What was the yellow color the falcon had back in the BA days which went green after 5yrs lol

in the slowest rebuild thread of CF, an update.
I now have a working rotisserie, my welding must have improved.
I think more time has been making this than working on the van so far.
Had to take drop the diff to allow more rotation, and help with the COG. Handy billy is just a precaution.
Of course, what always happens, there's now a rotisserie for sale on one of the escort FB pages... unbelievable.
Anyhow, started to tack the outer sill in place, but wasn't really in the mood so stopped.Plus the welder settings didnt suit, and my spot welds were looks more like spot volcanoes. The sill gap looks quite small in the pics, but does open slightly when the lower edge is pulled into position. Not being able to straighten the door sag easily is a pain.
On the good side, the rear floors and arches seem pretty ok.
Suggestions on the diff? I take it this is a std van one. Will it be fine just with the pinto?

Rotisserie looks good mate and makes sure whats done below is done right.

Love a windowless van they just look so awesome.

Id run the diff until you have issues, i think the vans got higher ratio CW which some people chase.

Escort diff is escort diff, ratio were commonly 3.7 for 1600 and 3.5 for pinto, that is the rule but Ford did adapt other ratio for auto etc. I once dismantled a 75 mk2 van 1300 auto(windowless) , it had a 4.1 ratio . And Robbie, this ratio I sold for $250 it alone paid for the van and profit there after.
Deano, save up for a Quaife LSD and leave it at that , while the van is up get a set of tramp bars bkts welded in place as it's way easier than up side down !

The rotisserie looks great Deano, might not seem like progress on the actual car but thats a project in itself.
Spotto Tuff wheels hanging in the shed, plenty of room in the van for carting around old school bmx's when its done

thanks fellas.
I'll keep going on the diff then, and change over the wheel studs.
Ive started to to clean it up with the wire wheel and found all numbers and the build tag.
I'm not sure on the tramp rods Marty, I dont think it will ever get stressed enough.
The pinto I have was attached to an auto, so might be the lower comp version, and I dont think it would make anything tramp much. But will take a look and see whats involved and if my welding could cover it.

Good spotting Drew. I could never afford a real BMX until I was about 15, let alone one with tuffs and had to do with modifying the repco 3 speed dragster to look like one.
Still have 3 bmxs now, which get dragged out for the swapmeet in Ballarat each year. I checked out how much they are worth now, and decided to do one up, which was a Torker. It sports new Skyway tuffs, and an oldshool layback seatpost, that the kids these days dont understand and is even a spinback.
I'll  dig a pic up.

Much the same Deano, I only ever had secondhand Dragsters. I compensated later on in life a built quite a large collection of old school BMX's. After all of that though it was the dragsters I went back too.
They were sold when I was building the RS.
I have one left... my childhood Indi 500 Oddball, it matches my Orange TD Cortina aswell.
