Marty dragged me into the ITB caper, after buying a full set of Honda ITBs as pictured earlier. My set cost under $100 shipped. Then the plan was to buy an inlet from the UK or 3D print as we are doing.
Speeduino came up while learnign the other bits needed, and what I liked was its open source, and support is much more readily and freely available. There is a bit of a learnign curve, but with our case using Pintos', its pretty basic setup and peeps have done it before.
 
Plus, the head speeduino dude is just in Ballarat, which is good to 'buy local'.
So far, the Speeduino itself cost me around $150, but it should have been less cause I buggered up on the componets to buy, and needed a second order.Plus I changed the format of the case to make hooking up easier.
Check out 'Making for Motorsport" on YT if you havent already, David does a pretty good intro, and also prints his own manifold. What engine are you planning? Theres a high chance Speediuno will cope with it, and theres likely to be a base tune available as well.
 
I can just about use a timing light, thats the extent of my tuning knowledge, but we'll give it a crack, and see how far we get. Can always ask for help on the SP forums.... (or go back to the 32/36)

I have a previous model 4.3 board and some componets you can solder in (was pictured earlier on in the thread), not much of a challenge but gives you an idea if making a board yourself is the go or not. You can buy them completed of course, or in various bundles with the Arduino:

I was thinking the fuel filler piece could go in place of the van one as caps are more available for sedans , should've sent the inner screw in bit too to complete the set!

Mark, welcome home lol , yeah us on here, deano and myself are speeduino-ing our projects.... I'm even going to get one for my mk1 Focus at some point soon along with my many other cars and Ute so they are very adaptable to any car/boat/ motor combo .

Yes I will investigate the Speeduino starting with the link you sent.
I really want to investigate how these things work to see how it may be integrated. Suppose compare it to the features on the Link and if its doable. Like you Deano these things are a bit like smoke and mirrors to me.
On the boat, going with fairly standard msd with 6AL ignition control, as the (learning a few things here) tunnel ram restricts distributor access. So like most things as we know these things have a flow on effect.
 
I used to make printed circuits. Used to buy the board, it had a solid coating of copper on one side, then you drill for components (resistors etc) and then paint with an acid proof compound where you wanted the copper to remain to allow continuity between aforesaid components and then paint it with some acid which etched all the unwanted copper layer off.

My bro used to do the circuit board etching in the 90s , 1 good thing is he brought home some real flat and stuff boards which didn't make the grade. I remember using 1 decent size to make a chassis for my competition RC buggy, it was bare without copper. The chassis plate made my buggy underweight by a 20c piece, this was in the early 90s and the buggy got me to state champ qualify in 2wd modifieds , came 3rd outright. The board never broke even with some monstrous crashes it went thru, even a small fire in the track lol... Good old days

I haven't forgotten Mark about sending some stuff across.
The  guy I have been buying Speeduinoi stuff from online in Turkey hasn't been that reliable, I know who would have thought , right?
 
I finally tracked down a sump from WA for the vans pinto , so that can go on. Its just about ready to try to start on the stand, then well see whats next. A new clutch is on order, and new ARP flywheel bolts are here. That will go off for a skim and a bit of weightloss.
 
The rally pack replica thats for sale needed the charchoal canister sorted, so after doing that I gave it another wash again and back into the shed .
Must be something up with the paintwork though,  the water went all bubbly afterwards!

Don't stress about the Speeduino stuff Deano, I have to contact the tuner I was mentioning to see how his first foray into Speeduino is progressing.
Only realised you were in Vic the other day. I just took the boat to Bendigo, then we went down to Queenscliff across to Sorento and around the coast back to sunny Greenwell Point. It was a good excuse to catch up with some friends scattered around Vic and travel 2200km in 6 days.
Will be coming back down before Christmas to pick it up.
