I just so happen to have the skeleton of a mk2 4dr, but no handle, I can cut the handle area out for you to test. .. Or you could use the TE/TF Cortina handles but don't get the falcon copy cheapo junk from auto sales shops as they break after a few goes.
Just had a thought after typing that out.. look at the older Ford courier handles as well, they are cheap just to trials it but will need the door surround panel with it

thanks guys, i'll stew on that one for a while.

I did not even realise the doors had chrome handles, until I'd refitted the drivers mechanism and had opened and shut it 50 times playing with the sill gaps.
I have a set of pedals fitted now, they dont like playing with the wok though, full accelerator travel is not going to happen without some mods. I guess there aren''t many cars out there that still run factory pedal arrangement and the woks art the same time.

Mods to the pedal like bending it to around the wok shape so you get full frottle 👍

sorry still no pics, so boring post for those who like to watch.

The throttle peddle has a stop riser on the original wok. I think if I bend the throttle arm much, it may just change the return height. I think the only option is going to be a compromise wok, larger than whats there but not a big as the passenger side. That or just leave as, is, which sort of defeats the purpose. So I left it today before making another grinder mistake, and did some filling and epoxy priming instead.
Ive never driven an escort van, or even sat in one, but is the steering wheel /pedal position offsett?
The column comes out way close toward the gearbox hump, no near the pedals much at all.

I just get an image of having to straddle the gearbox to drive. Might be a bit uncomfortable after a while..

Escort seating is a bit buckled, steering angle and pedals are slightly(?) wonky , there's no real way to fix the steering angle other than grow scoliosis lol , not recommended. I grew up driving Escorts so to me it's natural. The cars were built cheap and cut corners during the planning as the Anglia was getting well past it's use by date and needed a full overhaul ..
I've done some auto to manual conversions and the larger auto tunnel almost get in the way of your left foot operating the clutch pedal, very tight.

as requested, but not much activity, although my inbox keeps filling...

Drivers side has had some filler, sill is all sorted, and generally primed to keep things happy until its paint time again.
The hip swage line needs a bit of work still to blend it nice on the arches, but for know its ok.
Front guard is just sitting there in the pic, and the drivers wok is in the too hard basket for now.

A new front panel with headlight buckets  have arrived from SMCKA, along with the drivers floor pan. So next is to fit the pan first, then I think take the front rotisserie off, so the front panel can be unpicked and replaced.
Then come back to the footwell, and the fit the bonnet and line up both front guards and gap them.

I was digging around a few small bubbles of filler  that unearthed behind the rear quarter panel with a screwdriver... and dug too much.
Bugger, what's another patch to do..
Slowly,slowly

oh, and the cardboard on the windows is to cover my depressing welding, which will need a good effort to rectify.
For now, if you cant see it, its not there..

You've gotta be kidding me, that's classic !
I thought he was going to Fitzee the panel but no, right over the top lol. I did like the clouds demonstrate waiting a bit while stuff dried.
Should ask if he can do full arched rear quarter panel for your van 😁
