I have the standard interior So that’s the basis. The RS seats are in decent condition so they’re all good. Door trims I’m considering going with some UK items as I can’t really find anyone locally worth the $$. Custom gauges as my RS tacho was going to be too much messing about to get it to function with the ECU. Plus it’s a good cluster and didn’t want to destroy it. Still undecided on black or cream headlining - I’m leaning towards black.

Don’t the weekend sorting the original loom to accept additional items such as thermofan, O2 sensor, headlamp and horn relays. Also had to relocate a custom washer bottler. Decided to also combine the headlamp and indicator plugs on each side. Hoping the thermal insulation is sufficient although it’s not that close to the exhaust.

Also Paul i was thinking, Since youve now changed the inlet manifold from oem and using aftermarket ecu would you also be essentially doing the same engineering if going a duratec?

Hi Robbie. Thanks. Any modern or non original fitment engine conversion requires engineering even if using all the OEM manifolds etc. if I was using the pinto then I’d probably get away without any engineering intervention.

Did you have issues with the RX7 calipers clearing your simmons?

I’m not using the RX7 calipers as I changed to the Hispec items. However, due to the altered offset of my Simmons the RX7 calipers did foul on the ends of the rim bolts. I’m assuming they would clear unmodified 15” Simmons.
