Ok. Minor updates.
All suspension in, Simmons powder coated, fuel pump in and tank mounted. Also had a minor issue that had my front rims not mounting true on the alloy hubs. Machinist Mate added alloy spigots 👍

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Paul, but I think your missing something in the second shot!

hey paul. i am sure we talked about this but do you have enough room around you pump to get fuel lines in/out?
cant really tell from your photo how much real estate you have to work with.

Yes I hope so. Fuel line connections are below the level of the boot floor and the front of the tank will hang down maybe 20mm. I will need to find some dense foam to sandwich between boot floor and tank so I can tension up the tank straps.

Hi mate this is an amazing thread.

Im interested in your ongoing conversion and how youll legally get this registered in SA. Ive got a coupe (no RS) that i would love to convert to Zetec but have been told its extremely unlikely due to the ability to not retain oem intake etc.

Assuming youll need to pass emissions and brake test for this?

Cheers

Robbie

Small update.
Sump half completed due to the need to sort the oil pickup pipe. Had to make a custom elbow block as I had limited clearance between the oil pump outlet and sump. Extended the pipework and used the original Zetec pickup end. Sll made so I can retain the OEM windage tray.
Now that's done the sump can be finished and engine machining / assembly can begin.
