Should be fine as any excess will just flow back to the tank?
Whilst getting the pump I found that Mondeo wheel studs suit my application as only 1/2" longer (@42mm) than standard which was spot on for the alloy hubs and the rear disc conversion. The extended studs from Smacka etc were too long and my dome wheel nuts bottomed out. Plus they came at an unbeatable price 😉

Paul,

Will you get it engineered with the 15" rims on it? If not you may need to file off the fins on the calipers. I know I had to, to allow fitment of 13" Alloys.

Also to save some head scratching when you put it back together the U-bolt plates are on back to front - flip them round 180 and swap sides.

Cheers,

Hey Rhys
Thanks as I had them the other way during assembly and didn't look right - I should have researched more. In any case they have to come apart again to fit the upper spring plates anyhow (when I find some!).
Yes engineered with the 15's and it must depend on what alloyrim as I know some 13's fit.

Bit of a win as I found the bits I was missing. Quick sand blast and off to the platers they shall go.
Also started playing with the BA Falcon EFI pump which appears to fit well. It's spring loaded which ensures the pot and pump remain on the bottom of the tank. I will have an alloy flange plate that will secure to the tank and have the EFI pump sit down level with the top of the tank. It will also allow the pump to be easily removed for whatever reason. I will also add an access panel to the boot floor so I can do it without dropping the tank. This is a very rusty and pin holed tank hence I'm not fussed about destroying to make sure it's 100% before moving into my minter.

Nice when a plan comes together- always very handy to have an old spare to to use as a template / test bed.  Len

The RS is currently being painted and should be home in a few weeks
Ideally I want it to be a rolling shell ASAP so I have finished assembling the diff housing (correctly thanks Rhys ) and front struts with some freshened up items. Once I receive some bits from the UK the rack will be ready also. Soon it will be time to paint the Simmons V4 centres, assemble and fit some tyres

Parcel has ended back in the U.K. So they're having another shot at getting it to Australia.
