Nice work. No issues with baffles at all.

Removed the rear scuttle to reveal metal that hasn't seen the light of day for nearly 50 years. It was in pretty good shape with just two small pieces of rust which I have now repaired at each corner
The scuttle has had the attachment tabs replaced and I think will be left off and reattached after painting with rivets or small stainless bolts.
Courtesy of wiggy I have been able to fit the later "B" pillar seat belt mounting points to my shell rather than using the low mounting points originally used in the rear trim.

Those B pillars look a lot better than when I last saw them. Nice work.

Wiggy, a sand blaster and etch primer does wonders to old parts. Thanks for taking the time to remove and send the pillars to me.

Spud, the jury is still out on what engine to use. The problem is too many options however I would prefer to stick with Ford just depends on how much money I have at the time. The V6 Duratec would be fairly cost effective and not too heavy weight wise way to a reasonable power increase with the Jag version being 240HP, however not sure its worth all the effort for not a huge power increase. As a Capri driver Spud, what do you think a good road car needs?

What EFI engine are you considering?

I'm injecting an Essex v6 - see how it goes. I'm hoping it will make it a bit more user friendly- easy on start up and smoother. (See below)

I'm doing a cosworth v6 - a very easy conversion and gets a great result by all accounts

I've looked at the duratec - it's a bit of a hassle making it fit - but a very nice engine

The hassle is a big thing for me now - I can't be bothered with to much mucking around (modifications take time) - hence the way I'm going above

Hunt around South Africa sites, the Essex was made with factory EFI very late in life but never fitted to Fords, they went into Mazda utes.  If you could source the intake system and ancilleries it would save a lot of work

I have seen those - but look bloody awful!
It's ok - using jenvey throttle bodies etc should (hopefully) work nice - I'll let u know. How it goes..

What Sand blaster setup do you use? I have two different setups but my older EBay one works best now I tweaked it a bit.

Can you just by a converted carb nowadays that will be a simple EFI. If that works just a bit better I’d go for that. I know I’ve seen something for V8s.
We all know it’s just our silly rules that stop us going the V8 route.
