$740 is a good buy in any case. It looks in better condition than mine, how do you find the time to repair all the cars you have?

I work on them with another bloke - when we can but it is taking to long for my liking - at least they're all out of the weather
 - its great to see another one salvaged from certain oblivion.

You got a deal with that one at $740 spud. As long as the doors open and the A pillar doesn't come with it. I've seen many Capri's this way. Bought two wrecks from Dubbo both 4cyl shells one rusted through the other had at some point been ruse proofed with no rust anywhere. When I got it there was no roof and rear quarters and hacked to pieces. Salvaged perfect A pillars off it. I don't know why this car was wasted for parts. If you want the correct slam panel for rough 69 Capri then send me s pm blue74

Made up a new front cross member as the old ones I had weren't any good, bent and cracked.
Everything seems to fit up OK.
The Valance needs a piece made to fill the huge hole put in it by a previous owner. I was thinking of putting the two large air slots in it like the early RS2600 has.
Doe's anyone know the hole width on the RS2600 front valance? looking at pictures of them it seems the outside edge is the same as the bumper bracket slot.

Got the one I brought home - a 69 gt but a parts car - like the inner guard repair - very neat!

I reckon while your far in to the front it's a good idea to separate the stone guard front valance. Lots of water goes through the grill. After pulling two apart yesterday of which both looked rust free aside from surface rust I discovered this as seen in pics. Brings back the question of wether to acid dip or sand blast or old school sand. Thing is to pull things apart to get access to be perfect would be tearing all apart and rebuild cars from scratch( good luck with that one).

Good point Wiggy333, I will have a close look at it. Looks like you have been busy with the drill!

I was also considering bolting the valance on, is this something others have tried?

The Capri front floor pan sections have had a bodged rust repair in the past with a large portion cut out and a plate fitted over the top.
I made a die up and pressed a front passengers side floor pan rust repair section to weld in.
I will have to do the same for the drivers side next.
