Lookin' good Drew.  Once mine's back together we'll have to hit the road and give all those drivers of boring coloured cars something to look at!

"give all those drivers of boring coloured cars"

Can someone explain why the popular choice of colour of new cars is silver (or a greyish derivative), black or white?
All the new cars look the same to me because they are all nearly the same colour.

A spraypainter told me that it is because the paint itself is cheaper, and hence it is more likely to be what the manufacturers offer.

Hi Drew,

Car's looking good, now I know what mine would have  looked like if I had left it as it's original colour instead of diamond white.  Glad to see your belts came out good, I had to replace mine as the webbing was frayed and used after market ones instead.

Cheers,

Finished the last of the underside painting this morn, paint on my face, down my sleeves and in my hair, glad that's done.....

Cheers Len, the belts were really tidy and un-frayed so I had nothing to loose before I went down the rewebbing route. Turned out to be worth the effort.....

Guys theres no boring colours in my garage, although my everyday is a silver Falcon, but lol that lives down the end of the driveway

Hi Drew,

Nice looking Cory, not surprised that you like to get out and cruise it as often as you can.

Hello all,
After painting the floor I though I'd stay on the underside theme. A mate has lent me his spraying gear so we've boothed off an area in the old mans garage for a week or two. Getting more confident at the spraying and doing things in small batches. Started on the gearbox and tailshaft as they're largely unseen.
Prepping up the diff housing, new springs, swaybar etc at the moment.
Finished off the box today with a new seal and gasket kit.
Works been busy but has given me the extra dollars to buy all the bushes, cable kits, shocks and springs.
Cheers Drew........

coming along nicely,Drew. Peter M pointed out that I don't have the little yellow bush in the bellhousing for the clutch cable which is shown in your pics. If you are going to fit the cover for the clutch fork to keep water and crap out of the bell housing I would recommend buying one from Peter, quality item and a good fit. Only thing, you may have to heat wrap your headers like I did to protect it.
With your seal kit for the box did you replace the front seal as well as the extension housing one? I didn't replace the front one because it looked OK but I think it has a small weep. Might be able to put an additive in the oil to help seal it up. Cheers,
Len

Hey ...

Great effort ...  Very informative.

One thing though.
Seat belt re-webbing ??

Does this mean you have had someone dismantle your original belts ( After seeing you had the original ones dyed ? )
and then obtained webbing and resewn ?
