Id be interested to know what the gearing is like with the 4.4 up back?

Is it a 5 speed, or a 4?

Good work on the diff,I just got some info on hilux diffs and was either going down the hilux or courier diff route my self. What we need to find out for sure is up to what year this width changes if at all,I would also be going for 3.9-4.1 LSD,depending on whats available. It seem like a easy conversion and will machine the axles up at work as well,May as well do a disk convserion while your there,I will be.

I also wonder if the mazda vans E2000? and Ford Econovans share the same/similar diff housing as these are a dime a dozen in wreckers now.
MMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Thanks
David

Sounds like a plan David, as for disc rear i cant afford to do that atm, im just setting up the MK2 drums atm cause it free, i will not be spending any cash on this diff, i have come to a point where i have stopped with the diff since i blew my ute up

More new to come, dont worry im not giving up just the house and my daily driver come 1st!

my stock ecky diff is gonna blow out any day now so if any one in adelaide can hook me up with a diff that requires little or minor work and will take the power of my kick ass engine that still scares me! the ford couier and mazda bravo have to low ratio but really at this stage i can't be too picky

The semi floating hubs are very strong, the bearing is retained in the hub and has no fluid conection to the centre at all, it full encased in packed grease!!!!!

Wait and see!

how are you going with the diff fitting ???????? any luck?
i've noticed on the magazine articles section the supercharger rs
has a hilux diff.........
and that would have to be putting out more power than my 1.8 turbo
