Got a pair of these by accident

Now where would they go? I'm thinking the sill in the footwell up near the firewall, but the flat edge is in the wrong spot and the sill has two 20c coin size holes in which this repair section does not. Anyone know for sure what these are for

They go foward of the sill just behind the front guard.

The pic below is from Ron's project thread which shows a good view of it (circled).
