Nice car! Is it as good as it looks in the photos?
I sometimes wish I started my project with a complete car like yours.
But if I did then I probably wouldn't have gone down the modifying route. What are the plans?

I hope to is as good as it looks, As far as rust there is none under the front guards none in the boot or roof sills 1 small blister on the drivers a pillar and 2 on the drivers side rear wheel arch the 2 front guards look to have the origanal Panels the spot welds haven't been drilled. I haven't taken the carpet out yet. It has been resprayed, the respray was a long time ago from the looks - I hope it was pre bog.

It still has 5 months rego but i wouldn't say it is road worthy, It just made the 40km journy home, it was happy sitting on 80 - 90 km towards the end of the trip i plated the foot at the change of speed limits, it coughed and splutted the rest of the trip home. The gearbox is ruff suspenion is verry sloppy.

As for as plans take the boddy back to the shiny stuff and respray, I want the outside to look pretty standard.
The inside i will probably look arround for newer seats posibly see if i can get a center consol of something i will just look around and see wat looks good and fits.

The auto will have to go and something bigger than the 1600 would be nice. So either a 2L man or the V6 i haven't checked to see if i would need an engeneering cetificate for the V6 in either case the running gear needs replacing.

Being in Perth too I can highly recommend the panel beating and spray painting courses at carlisle tech.

David Gardiiners DVD on body work is really good too

Make sure to check ebay and ebay UK before you buy any parts, they are often the cheapest, even with postage. And also Burtons www.burtonpower.com. Also search for escort parts, many are the same.
