Alrightyy well im converting my 1.6 mk2 GL to manual iv got a 2000E gearbox, which is off a 2L which was put on a 1.3, then i bought the 1.3 with the 2l gearbox and scrapped the 1.3 and im putting the 2l gearbox on my 1.6, i wanna get a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, would i need a 2l one or 1.6? would a 2l fit onto the 1.6 and just have the 2L setup?
Need some answer fast.

You have to get the 1.6 clutch. And remove the spacer behind the clutch fork pivot if it has one.

The only difference between the 1.6 @ 2.0l gearbox is the spacer block behind the clutch fork.
Rpm 90 clutch will last 3 times longer than a standard type.
Repco can look it up, as the Rpm listing has changed.

Alright, so a 1.6 flywheel, 1.6 clutch, and pressure plate, and take out the spacer behind the fork. Are the rpm clutches dear?

Sounds Hinky to me...
200E gearboxes are very rare in Aus, so if it is off a 2Lt pinto motor I doubt it is a 2000E box... If my memory serves I think their shifter came out a different type of extension housing too... Did a Google search and this is what they look like... http://www.firstmotion.co.uk/Ford-Gearbox-Identification%281958595%29.htm

Most likely it is a Mk2 Escort single rail type E box that was common between all Mk2 Escorts... As Mikas said the only difference is a spacer behind the fork to account for the difference in distance to the flywheel / clutch for 1.6Lt Kent engined cars... They are the same gearbox as a 2Lt Cortina, but the gearstick location is about 80mm forward in the Escort extension housing compared to the Cortina type that is at the end of the extension housing.... ie http://www.burtonpower.com/tuning-guides/tuning-guide-pages/ford-type-e-gearbox-guide.html
