The beige moonstone crater material is readily available from the upolstery supplier at Stoddart Road Prospect Sydney NSW. I bought the remainder of a roll of it a few months ago. They said they were about to order another full roll. Very reasonably priced too.

Any good auto upolsterer worth his salt should be able to acturately reproduce for a reasonable cost any of our old Ford head linings.

This is exactly why we like our old cars!

And yes, ours is a 2 door 1976 mk2

Don't use supertrim, my mark 1 hoodlining from them was too short, the panels were stitched in the wrong places and the front was cut wrong so the sunvisors sit at a 45 degree angle. Cost me more in buying and extra time for the trimmer to fit (12 hours!!!) than it would have to get him to make me one up.

If you are not in a hurry I have a shipment coming out of East Kent Trim and I have seen the material and it is good stuff.

What sort of delivery are you expecting from the UK, was hoping to it done in about 3 weeks. cheers ted

do not deal with the guy on ebay in Melbourne
I bought one for the twin cam and it was the worst head lining I have ever handled,
It pulled apart at the seams and was too small too in places,
I had 2 more made locally which were below acceptable,
so I went to the uk and was very happy,
I have also dealt with them for the MK2 rally pack,
you have to make sure you ask for extra strips for the pillars as the uk Escorts don't have them down the length of the front pillars

Thanks Ted and Jim. I've had one made up in Darwin in the past and am happy with it but that is fitted to an RS2000. My main problem is the lack of a template. Ted. sorry if I've asked this before but is your Escort a 2 or 4 door?

I can get them here in about 2 weeks; Each hoodlining will be $220 + freight to you which will be another $12.50.
