hi guys wanting know if the ratios in the T5 would compensate for the lower ratio's of the hilux diff they seem to be pretty low 4.1,4.5 i was hoping for something around the 3.7 mark but it seems not to be the case as far as my research as turned up anyway ive found one for $550 from a wrecker is that a good price?

Cant answer your question directly, but a Mazda B series diff has a 3.77 centre available. Its a very similar diff to the Hilux with 30 spline axles.

There has been some up for grabs on this forum on the east coast.

Have a play with this and have a look.
I have a T5 in the garage that was in the wagon I bought just to pull the diff out off. If you were interested it would be much cheaper than the wrecker.

The ratios in a EB Ford are pretty much identical to a Sierra Type 9 5 speed... so that wont really help things regarding low diff ratios.
