I started building a zetec turbo sleeper escort. Started off with a 95% good condition 4 door 1.6 auto. I picked up at the start of the year for 800 bucks. :) got it home at stripped it. Now currently it sitting in the shed. No engine gearbox or interior. Brake booster has been fixed to the firewall. I have a zetec blacktop with 150kms on the clock. I have a 4 speed escort gearbox and New clutch. I also have all conversion parts, just need to get a fuel pumps, swirl pot and fuel reg. Going to be running a t25 garrett with 7psi to start. Im going to be using the standard inlet manifold and have a aftermarket ecu running it all. Suspension wise will be cleaned, painted and rebushed..... will post more later.

How is your 4 speed going to go with handling the Zetec power- what sort of BHP are standard boxes usually good for?? Len

You would think maybe 150 odd would be max with a bit of hard driving, it would be the torque that would be the major issue with turbo power?. I'm going supra box,alloy bell and retro ford clutch kit behind my n/a zetec (220hp)definitely not a cheap solution but it shouldn't break(famous last words)

Once my funds build up again. I put a stronger box and diff in. But ill see how much punishment it will take before it pops. Lol
