You'll love it when you get into it[;^)] Although I did a spreadsheet of replacement costs for adjustng my insurance...including everything in the engine bay, engine management and fuel system...$39G[:u] It may even be higher by the time its finished[8~2]

Worth every cent Phil. I don't think I've ever seen a better looking cossy mill than that. And if it happens to go like the clappers too...................[:x)]

Has the use of a bolt on internal gate ever been questioned Phil?
As the tuner im using is not in favour of it at all and plans to bin mine and would rather go the hassle of making a manifold and external setup.

Thanks for the kind words guys

I've never had a problem Luke...that was at 25psi and 350rwhp. I plan to stretch that further but boost control was very stable. TBH Im not really convinced there's an advantage with an external gate on this size turbo

Hi Guys,

I decided to capitalise on the strong $AUD last week and bought some more goodies...

Im not sure how this will hold up so will be balancing both the original and this one so I can interchange...made from 6061T6 this is just under half the weight of the original...not ideal for cruising but good for increasing hp[:p]

And this 3" bypass valve should aid in keeping the old girl quiet...I will be running a 2" bypass exhaust and muffler to keep noise down. When this valve is closed the exhaust will be forced through the 2" muffler, when it opens....full noise and power to play with through the 3" system

WOO!

I was looking forward to a Sat arvo update

Lighter flywheel shouldn't be too bad for cruising, I had a Toda flywheel on my WRX which weighed about 3-4 kilos (cant recall) and you get used to backing off the gas gingerly and rev matching allll the time [:p]

With the bypass valve, have you thought about using a Varex muffler?

Cheers!
