Its neater and easier...I haven't seen any benefit to running an external gate

The new windscreen went in today[:p] I managed to do it without breaking this one...the windscreen guy would have shot me if I had to ask him for another[:o)]

The oil breather tank is complete, its based on the UK WRC style but with a few changes to improve its efficiency and to aid in hiding the plumbing

Hi Joeyjonsey,

It will vent to atmosphere but could be easily plumbed back to the intake

Cheers,

Phil.

so i take it you tapped out the breather hole in the side of the block ? what size is it like 3/4 or so ? even though it's venting to the atmo, it looks like you'll be venting through a braided line (where will that mount ) ? cheers

Hi Joeyjonsey,

I tapped the breather hole in the block to 7/8"unf. I will be running the vent hose to a cannister under the passengers floor

Cheers,

Phil.

Its been a bit slow lately but have been putting together a mounting plate for the ac compressor...it needs to be out of sight so I found a nice little area below the alternator that would do the trick The jig plate is made of 3mm plate and is still a work in progress but is getting close to being ready to copy in 6mm plate for the final job[:p] I still need to find a way to mount an idler bearing to maximise the belt contact area with the alternator and ac compressor which should be easy enough when time permits
