Im more than happy to use them and more than confident they will stand up to whatever this new engine can deliver, even if it was to see 800hp[:o)][;^)]. After all, its not an F1 car, its a Mk1 Cortina[%]
Anyway, life goes on and the work still isnt finished...I've been working on the rear seat structure which is proving to be quite a challenge. Someone welded a load of bars and floor boxes right where the seat originally went so the seat needs to fit between/around/over these extra bits as well as resemble the recaro's in the front. After consulting with my trimmer we decided on removable inserts to make the seats more flexible when removing and refitting...the rear seat squab needs to go in through the left rear quarter window. I've now finished modding the rear squab frame and have made templates to reproduce the general profile of the original seats.
