I would consider using std head bolts alone with the wrc gasket, but I dont want to be limited to what boost I can run. Anything upto 25psi I would run std head bolts for sure

Cheers Timmeh,

Im certainly happy with it Its way better than I could have hoped for[:p]

Hi Rich,

It has been a long time hasnt it...nearly 15 years now[:u] Time has flown and seen many changes in the name of development[(#)] This time its final...I dont think there's anything else I want to do to it other than see what it's capable of down the qtr and round the track. I'll be back to std restorations after this, I have a 4 door Mk1 Corty and Im after a wagon as well...time will tell[(#)]

EDIT: maybe some non crossflow 1500cc N/A power chasing in the other 2 Corty's[%]

Cheers,

Phil.

Hey phil I'm thinking of using the T5 cossie gearbox in my escort on the back of the zetec, only thing I haven't thought of is what to do about the speedo,Did you use the autometer speedo to get around how to adapt to match standard dials,is it cable drive or electronic.do you reckon there is anyway of adapting it to a six dial esky dash

Hi Dave,

The Cossie T5 speedo drive output is the same as Escort[;^)] You can use the same cable you would use with a T9 5 speed box My speedo is electronic and is triggered directly from the wheel speed sensors

Hi Guys, its been a while but there's still progress

I have dropped the hoodlining off and settled on the trim design so the trim work will begin soon[:p]

I remounted the door trims and speakers to give the cd player a test run...sounds supurb and it only has 4" splits and a very stealthy sub that looks like a cd stacker. I cant believe how good it sounds

Thanks to Tex I have a grenaded block in place to use as a jig to finish the engine bay work while the engine gets built

Im waiting for word from Cosworth on the arrival of their new batch of pistons then the engine build can start[%]

With some help I turned the car around this afternoon so I can get to work at the front of the car...I took some pics while it was out[:p] I must admit the second pics is giving major wood[(#)]
