The cage is now finished and the rear seat is modified to suit the roll cage[:p] The last jobs on the shell are the battery mounting which is now going under the back seat and some more minor massaging of the rear wheel tubs to swallow 285/30/R18's

IS the cage cromoly or steel ?

welding with a mig or tig?

looks good, why dont you box off the rear section , i suppose since you cant use the back seat anymore, no point in having it there. Extra weight lol.

Hi Milan,

Its steel and mig welded...total weight of 39.5kg in tube and plate for the whole cage.

Im keen to build some comfort into the car this time round...the rear seat should keep the cabin noise down to a dull roar instead of being like an echoing sardine tin. The extra power should compensate for the extra weight[;^)]
