Looking good Phil

I am booking mine into Gen Tech next week. After the throttle linkage change the 3D Cold Start map is out and its gone back to really severe coughing and farting. So I will give it to them to time it and get it running well. It just a bugger that I have to pay gain to get it flat bed trailered over to them.

Its better to spend a few $$ on towing now Bill, it will be worth it in the long run

Very neat Phil, so is it going to be a bolt in style cage ?

Do you have any planned engine specs that you wish to share at this point ?

I saw your post about the escos inlet manifold, why not try custom making something still retaining the original runners ? I have noticed a few people using the 'sweedish' style manifold.. but i haven't found any back to back tests with one fitted.

Cheers,
Damion

Hi Damion,

No big secrets in engine spec, just a freshen up and some port work.Totally standard otherwise.Im keen to explore how far the stock cams can go...their limits haven't been reached yet

The cage is going to be a weld in with bolt in feet.Im welding in reinforcements but want to be able to take the cage out without to much dificulty if the need arises

The latest progress with the engine is manufacturing a torque plate to mount in place of the head before boring. The torque plate ensures the bores will be perfectly round when the head is bolted back on. This is how it came back from the profile cutters

Nothing major at the moment really Ty I have stumbled upon a YBP Escos cylinder head which I am considering using instead of my original head. Its low km and never been machined since new but has had a piston melt under it...easy to repair[;^)] Im not sure if I want to go to the YBP rocker cover although it nicely conceals my new coilpack setup and will add to the new clean lines in the engine bay. Other than that I have redesigned my strut brace brackets but haven't welded them in yet.Maybe this weekend will se a bit more done. The roll cage will be the next big job to do
