Its been a while since I've updated this thread...

THE REBUILD HAS BEGUN!!!

Since the last post I have completed a complete rewire of the old girl from the B pillar forward...all wiring is now hidden in the engine bay with the only visible things being the injector plugs, isc plug and dizzy plug

The SM4 has been rewired to make full use of all the available features and datalogging. The 500R Cdi has been relocated and the coils replaced with some CBR 600 F4i coils mounted straight to the plugs.

The interior see's the reintroduction of the nanna shelf for tissues and any other trinkets that are a must[;^)]. The CD headunit has been relocated to a new custom console along with another 4 guages including wide band o2 and egt[:p] An under seat mini sub enclosure now completes the sound side of things.

All this hard work has since been stripped out to allow for all the screw and bolt holes added to the engine bay and firewall over the years to be welded up for a new 'less is more' theme under the bonnet. All the operating necessities will be hidden for a neat clean look...only the absolute essentials will stay where they are[%]

The engine is a matter of days from being removed ready for its rebirth...I can confirm my aim is to run a 10sec pass in circuit trim once the rebuild is done Nothing fancy...just what is required to do the job...most of the goodies are already there

Awesome work Phil,
Good to hear the engine is going for a refresh at last.
Looking forward to seeing the final results.
