Thanks, I am already thinking I will swap the entire front end, I just have to research what to use against what I can find. I need it simple as possible. I still like the Capri 2.8 gear but pretty expensive now.

I wasn't aware that the MKI's had bolt on steering arms so there you go.

I don't know the seller, but they may well have been in the same boat as Matt. Saw the bolt on steering arms and assumed they were TC/Capri struts without realising early Mk1 struts also had bolt on steering arms.
 
The same thing would (and probably still does) happen with Mk1 6 dial dashes. If it had six dials, then it was often blindly referred to as a Twin Cam dash. Yet Twin Cam, 1300GT, RS2000 etc. 6 dial dashes are all different.

So does anyone want to buy a pair of TC struts? : )
