Can a boosterless setup with Wilwood fronts and R31 rears be made road legal in WA? Obviously would need dust seals (which is midlite I think)? Or is there a better caliper available for the front (that must fit under a 13" rim)?
 
Can anyone recommend a good engineer in WA to go and see? There are a few listed on the DPI website, but I'd prefer one who knows escorts...

Hi Andrew. Yes it can. I have a 1975 Mk2 with a similar set up, although Mazda calipers on the front, that I had engineered about 2 years ago.
 
I used one of the engineers listed on the DPI website. PM me if you want to know who.
 
Reading the ADR's, I thought I was going to have to have a brake test done (for pedal pressure), but this never eventuated, so I am not sure if I was just lucky or if the brake test was just not required for some reason.

Testing required will depend on what year your car was built. 75/76 are easy. Anything later is much more involved. Ask the engineer.

Hi mate, I have midilites and yes they have the dust caps required for ADR. If you search a few months back I have a thread here on the fact the midilite kit I have comes very close to the tie rod end. There's an ADR requirement for suspension and steering components to clear brake components by a minimum of 10mm. This might be a sticking point.... Let me know how you go as I will be trying to get an engineers certificate in a few months time also!
