Folks do any off you know, is there some sort of adapter kit you can get for the wiper motor so as you can use just one wiper arm to clear the window, like you see on most mk2 rally cars, my mate says yes but i cant find any answers on the net.

Search on turbosport. Think the wiper comes from a fiat.

Think they use Fiat Uno or something similar in the Pommy conversions.... Like the electric power steering there would be a UK specialist company doing it... sure I read about one in Classic Ford may a few years ago...
