hi guys, im starting to play around with my 1600 and i am planning on some decent headwork, maybe a cam, extractors which are already on the car, and a 2inch exhuast.... but im not sure whats the best cost affective induction, i was thinking a 32 36 gt webber, but in doing this do i need a new manifold? im new to these motors so any feedback would be brilliant, also if anyones selling a carby of interest let me know. thanks

The 32/36 (if re jetted) is good up to about 120hp. Just using the 2V Fomoco manifold is fine.  Twin DCOE40 webers are always popular and will get power up to 145hp but they'll cost a bit and you'll have to delete the brake booster bracket
Bike carbs on a Bogg Bros manifold would be awesome.

Bike carbs rock!  I fitted R1 carbs to my pinto and they really are great for bang for buck.

With the twin side draught, you don't always have o remove the booster.  There is a short offset manifold that you can use and you shift the booster down about an inch. I've seen it done on a Mk2
