Bang!  Yep, have wanted a set for ever.  Should have them in a couple of weeks.  Just need some race tyres.

Yes I still have some. mine are pretty old now. AVON is the brand not sure if they still run them or not but for value for money you wont find anything better.

Cool, the Rebels will look great, I've a similar story I used to pass an RS on my paper round as a grommet with a set of Rebels, I couldn't understand why my old boy wouldn't get a set for his 1600GL Funny how I still remember that but can't recall where I put my bumper bolts that came off six monthe ago.....

I would recommend formula ford tyres, did about 40 laps at the track on half shagged ones, stuck like crazy and at the end of the day they didnt look like i had used them. As Rhys said very good bang for buck

I use 6.0/21.0-13 ACB10s and just buy them second hand
 
I however cannot compare them to any other tyre because these are the only tyre ive used on the track

I'll get a set and see how they go.  I have Advan A048's and they seem OK although they are the first and only race tyres I have ever used.

Few updates here.
 
Managed to track down some Formula Ford Tyres at next to nothing from a friend of a friend. I think I'll have enough tyres for quite a while now.
 
 
 
I then picked up the Rebel Wheels today.
 

 

 

 
Had them fitted up and balanced.
 

 
Then fitted them to the car.  I forgot to remove the rear wheel spacers which is why they are sticking out too far.   I have wanted a set for over 20 years and i am very happy the way they look.
