Great to hear Matt. Yeah the ol 40 degree days really get to me even if my cooling system manages to do the job. It can bring on some silly choices if it really gets to you and it seems there is just no way out in traffic.

I saw an escort A/C setup on gumtree a while ago and I wish that I snapped it up. But maybe I am just getting soft :)

I installed the rear Bilsteins today.  I had an issue as the eyes were not big enough to fit the mounting bolts.  The shocks may be to suit a MKI rather than MKII.

So I just drilled out the eyes with a 13mm drill bit and problem solved.

I am in the process of getting some rear springs done so that's next.

Cheers,

Hmm nice and shiny new shocks. Noticeable difference in ride?

Good job on the rust protectant coming from the diff centre

Can't really comment if they have made a difference or not but the old (original from ford) shocks stayed closed once you compressed them by hand very easily where as the Bilsteins I needed a jack to compress them enough to slide the end over the mounting bolt.

That rust protectant is standard from factory!   I have a new 3.89 diff to fit as well when I can be arsed.

Cheers
