Here is the one I bought - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RADIATOR-OVERFLOW-RECOVERY-KIT-BOTTLE-HOSE-BRACKET-NEW-/290764330431?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b2e795bf

I didn't take any photos of it installed which is a bit strange but will post some up once I get the car back.

Cheers

Nice 1 Matt. Did you get the handbrake cables with the skyline calipers??

Yes mate, 1 is pristine the other works but not 100% as it feels a but sticky.  New ones are $80 so we'll see.  May just get it on and see how it goes and replace it if need be.

I just need to get the cable shotened and an attachment sorted out to go from the handbrake itself to the bracket in the photo.

Got the car back today after being at the tuners for a week.

There were a multitude of issues that needing sorting out -

The manifold was leaking so that needed fixing.

One of the idle mixture jets had snapped off so it needed to be teased out and another one found.

The the car refused to rev past 4k.  It would get there fine but then just refuse to go further.  It ended up being the cam timing whoch once sorted made all the difference and now it revs to 6500 no probs.

I was really happy with Rob at RallyTune (Yarra Valley Fuel Injection) in Bayswater 97201598.  He is old school so knows his carbs as well as fuel injection and I thought he did a great job and was great to deal with.

The car goes great now.  It revs up very quick and has a very sharp throttle response.  Although I really notice the lack of power now which sucks.

Cheers,

Matt

Just a couple of pics

Here's the overflow tank I fitted a while ago.  It's just zip tied in but is very secure.

Here's the catch can I'll fit on the weeekend.

Cheers

It's great to see the carbs are all sorted. But why the lack of power?? Are you comparing it to the datsun ?

I suppose I am.  One has about 75kw and the other 300kw so it's not really fair.

Don't get me wrong it goes great but the power bug has well and truly bitten.

Not sure whether to go pinto power as I can get a very worked head for a great price or spend half the money and chuck in a  Zetec.

Cheers,

Hmmm yes. I can see how it becomes addictive. If I hadn't of picked up my recoed pinto cheap then I'd most likely be pouring my disposable income into a turbo charged FE DOHC

I will finish off the suspension & brakes first then have a think about the power upgrade.

Few pics of the catch can I installed today.

Due to the shorter pedal travel for the carbs the accelerator pedal was sitting a lot lower than the brake pedal making heel and toeing a bit too hard with my large feet (size 13) so I shortened the push rod and then need to space the brake pedal as it kept returning to normal due to the spring.

The standard brake light switch didn't have enough adjustment so I bought a new one from super cheap for $10 and it worked a treat.

Old switch with not enough length

New switch

Connected and working

How the pedals now sit.
