Hey Gareth,

Yes, they are all around the same price and I've ordered them anyway from the UK so need need for new ones.

I have an AccuSpark setup floating around I will have another crack at setting up so we'll see if I can get it ready for the AGM.

Cheers,

Matt

P.S. That mate of mine with the Mustang got his roadie sorted so he'll be in touch about the Club Rego or he'll come along to the AGM.  If he does make sure we get him up and then pull the piss out of his piece of crap Mustang.  (It is a great car though)

It's alive!

I got it running today finally.  The mixture is all over the shop I am sure.  It will only idle for a while and then conk out.

Will have a better crack at it tomorrow.

Question - If the floats are set to high would this cause the carbs to run too rich?

Here is a vid of it running.  Sorry for the quality but it's the first time I have uploaded anything to youtube.

After adjusting the float level and and fuel pressure it seems to have made a massive difference.

Here's a couple of vids of it freely revving

Awesome matt.
Will the cleaners sit out of the bonnet?

No, all good. Plenty of room.

Sounds pretty cool too.

The inlet manifold silicone tubing has started to perish due to fuel leaks and the pump I used may not be ideal so I bought the standard R1 Pump and ingtake boots so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Cheers

After having more issues with leaking carbs it ended up being the float valve o-rings.

I priced a set of four delivered from the USA at $125 AUD!

So, I went to Supercheap Auto and bought 2 packs of assorted o-rings for $12 and issue solved.

I hooked up the throttle cable too which was actually pretty easy in the end.

I also bought original rubber manifold mounts and fuel pump to ensure I'll have no more fueling issues.

It runs well up to 3/4 throttle wher is seems to die off so i'll take off the carbs for the 12th time now and just make sure the float heights are correct and then take it to a mechanic mate to get them sorted once and for all.

Whilst it has taken a lot longer than anticipated I am learning a lot.

Cheers,

Matt

Cheers Ratta,

Yeah it's getting there.  Next is to fit the 120y Master Cylinder and paint the engin ebay whilst I'm at it then install the 3.89 diff with disc brakes.

I'm sure that will all go as smopthly as everything else!

Cheers
