Had a play with the struts today.

When I bolted it all up the rotor was touching the caliper so I got out the dremel and took a tiny bit off the caliper until it all went round with out hitting anything.

I also ordered some QFM A1RM pads for the front and rears too.

Here's a few pics

Here is after running the dremel over it.  You can also see the washers used to centre the calipers too.

Back of the caliper showing the manifold splitter

Finished product.  I reckon they look awesome.

Cheers,

I definately will but as they piss out petrol at the moment I might just wait a bit till I get it sorted.

Though if it catches fire the number of hits will go up.

Hope so. Having issues with leaking carbies. Pretty sure the fuel pump is too powerful so will need a regulator or pump from an R1.

Cheers Matt

Speaking to another guy in RSOCVIC who has the same set up, he uses the pump and reg from the bike and it works really well.  He is out our side of town too in case you want to be put in touch with him to compare notes on the conversion ...

Sounds good Gareth,

I am borrowing a fuel pressure guage today and that will tell me if I need a new pump or not.

I actually bought an R1 Pump from the States but when it arrived it was broken!  First time i have been screwed on eBay.

Finally got the carbs to stop leaking fuel.  I needed to get a fuel reg and also someone had done up the drain bolts tight and that's where they were leaking from.

Anyway, went to start it and it just wouldn't fire.

After a while I noticed that the wire to the distributer had broken so now I need to get a new condensor & wire.  Priced one from Repco and at $45.00 I told them to get stuffed and ordered one from the UK for $15.00 AUD landed.  Problem being I'll have to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive.

Does anyone have an old condensor setup I can grab?

Cheers

Matt

Did you try Burson or Autobarn?  They should be readily available still, from memory the part number was GB809.

Or try Yesterford in Bayswater. Mike will have them for sure
