Well, after more than 2 & a 1/2 months since first finding her in LA, my new Capri is arriving at home tomorrow, Monday. She has been locked up at Corio Quay for the past 2 weeks because of a Patricks dock workers dispute! Tomorrow she escapes and finally arrives at her new home. Stay tuned for more pics and an update.

If only it were that simple! I'm heading off to Newcastle, Port Macquarie and then back to Sydney tomorrow for the next week! So, that means I have to wait for another week before I get to really have a good look at her. However, from what I've seen so far, I'm rapt! Some more pics for your viewing pleasure (in a hurry, hence the blurred final pic!):

The motif on the front guards is the Mercury Cougar Cat. These were used on this model, known as a 'Black Magic', but this one is a rare version as it has the only other paint option, that is, Polar White. So, it's a White 'Black Magic' model, also sometimes referred to as a 'White Lightning'! The line decals are not unlike the JPS models that came out in the Mk.2 Capri's. Tomorrow I'll get to have a good look at it as I'm now back home from my trip up north.

As for music, it has the cassette option, thank goodness, rather than the 8-track and I'll be playing George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, as Steppenwolf were really a late 60's & 70's band, not an 80's band, the Merc being an '81 model!
