What are these Alternator wires?

Hey guys,
My Gregory's workshop manual has the colours of all the wiring diagrams incorrect. It's a pain to follow what's what.
I was wondering if someone could tell me what the condenser looking item and plug with just one wire is?
Cheers

The condenser bolts to the side of the distributor,
and the plugs go on top of the coil.

The plugs have a bolt in them that interconnect them. There's only one lead from them. I was lead to believe this is a 2.0L loom. These attachments are on the alternator side of a 2.0L.

Pretty sure small condensor thing is a capacitor which from memory (don't quote) is used to excite the alternator diodes on start up

The bit with the bolt in it is what you use to make the tacho work if you upgrade the dash. I'm sure someone has a better description than that though.

None of that wiring has anything to do with the alternator. It is all factory 2 litre wiring for the ignition coil. The condensor looking thing is just an aftermarket radio noise suppressor.
